2012 Regional Water Facilities Master Plan Update

The retained consultant team will work collaboratively with Water Authority staff to prepare the 2012 Regional Water Facilities Master Plan Update, which will evaluate the ability and cost effectiveness of infrastructure and supplies to meet the Water Authority`s mission through 2035. The Master Plan Update will guide the combination of investments in facilities, water conservation, local supply development, water resources management, operational management, and member agency cooperation needed to achieve the Water Authority`s targeted reliability goal. The Water Authority wishes to build upon the supply and infrastructure concepts developed in the 2002 Master Plan, as well as support several ongoing and recently completed project-specific planning efforts. All facilities currently proposed for implementation under the Water Authority`s current Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and the 2002 Master Plan are to be reviewed to determine their status and need, and to establish a priority for implementation within the dynamic supply picture facing the San Diego region.
