Emergency Storage Projects – Roller-Compacted Concrete Dam and Appurtenant Facilities for San Vicente Dam Raise Construction Package 3 (Specification No. 592)

(Bids will be accepted from pre-qualified prime contractors only. See below Notice Inviting Prequalification for Package 3 for additional information.) Raise the existing 220-foot dam by 117 feet; place approximately 600,000 cy of roller-compacted concrete; construct about 45-foot high saddle dam; build a new 200-foot tall outlet works tower with a new 300-foot long and 12-foot in diameter tunnel; multiple gates and fish screens; install large diameter pipes, valves and roller gates; install grout curtains in the foundation, consolidation grouting, and seepage prevention grouting for the saddle dam; install an upstream facing system; develop an on-site quarry and RCC mixing plant; mass fill for future marina; build marina facilities including boat ramps, parking lot, comfort stations, etc

The San Diego County Water Authority (Water Authority) is seeking proposals from qualified firms for professional services to provide a feasibility evaluation and preliminary design for a 25 million gallon per day seawater desalination plant, expandable to 50 million gallon per day, to be located in or near the city of Rosarito Beach in Baja California, Mexico. The evaluation and design will also include related facilities, including feedwater intake and brine discharge facilities, product water conveyance system to water users in Mexico and the United States, and related facilities.
